Hitherto the voters' lists have been the same for both Provincial and Dominion elections, but this Bill will make different lists for each. The substance of the Bill is as follows :- It is proposed that voters in cities and towns shall have the same quali- fications. Everyone who is twenty - 000 years old and is a British subjset, and not otherwise disqualified, shall have a a oto if he is the owner of real propelty 11 the value of $800. Under the new Ontario Act only $200 is re. quired. Everyone who is a tenant in a city or town under e, lease shall have a vote if his lease is at the annual rental of not less than $20. Under the new Ontario Act a touaucy of property worth only $200 outitles to vote, no matter what its rental Every bona fide occupant of real property, within such city or town, of the valne of $800 shall have a vote. Under the new Ontario Act only a value of $200 or occupancy of a sep- arate house, n0 matte' what its value,. is required. Residents of such cities on towns deriving an income of not less than $400 annually, who have been resi- dents of such towns for a ,year, shall have a vote. Under the new Ontario Aot only $250 income is required, whether in city, town or country. In the villages and townships, it is proposed that every person who is a British subject and the owner of real property within any such electoral district of the value of $150, or is tenant under lease of not less than a year, at au annual rental of not less than $20 in money or in kind, shall have 0 vote. Under tho new Ontario Act only Mtn ownership of $100 is re- quired and an actual occupation of a separate house, no matter what its value. As in the cities s0. In the country districts, anyone who derives au in. come of not less than $400, and is resident a year, shall have a vole.
