village has been wonderfully titivate
tised by its nation in electing a lady it
member of the School Board. In the
British Colonist, published in Victor-
ia, British Columbia, WO find the fol-
lowing :-The voting for the election
of two trustees wits closely contested
here. Mrs, J. R. Smith and Dr.
Hutchinson were elected. Ono cause

of a lady being a caudidate. There
