The annual meeting of tho East

hold in the Town Hall on Wednesday
afternoon of Satewcok, There was a
good attendance, Vicc•Pres, 'William
Grieve in the chair,
Thu Treasurer's report showed the
reeetpts to be 1;185.40 and oxpendi•
tura $1,10(1.58, leaving a balance of
$28.01 on hand. Tho total member•
snip is about 80 at present. On mo-
tion the report was adopted.

neighborhood for the services she its

to them.

Wo had the pleasure of perusing
a tract entitled "Watt's reviewed,"
by Rev. A. Scott, of Walkerton, son
of Adam Scott, of this township.
The work contains 24 pages and is a
complete refutation of an infidel lect-
ure delivered in that town by a Mr.
Watt, Mr. Scott's lecture is well
worth reading tlnd,may prove 0, ben-
efit to many who are not sound on
