day the nomination of trustees took
place. The candidates are Mrs. J.
R. Smith, Itirs. Straehan, Dr. Iimich-
inson..Dr. Holmes and D. Hayden.
After the nomination Reeve Rogers
was called to the chair after which
E. E. Wade, ellairman of tho Board,
read a very full report and school

election takes place next Wednesday,

great many appear to think the in-
troduction of Indies to the School
Board a move in the right direction
and we presumed they would have
been elected by Reclamation but such
is not the case. Whether it .would
be an improvement in the transaction
of business to have the presence and
advice of ladies will have to be test-
ed. The gentlemen nominated would
make good trustees and it is for the
ratepayers to say who will fill the
vacancies. As to the lady nomineee
no bettor can be found.
