WARNINo To FAnar2Re.—Farmers gener-
ally may not be aware that once they
accept a grain buyer's ticket on the open
market for any produce they may offer,
the law establishes a sale, binding strict-
ly both buyer and seller. In the event
of non-delivery of it they render them-
selves e liable e Eo whatever loss the buyer
may sustain and all costs for the re-
covery of such in a court of law. We
understand two oases of this nature o0'
inured here this week rendering the
parties liable, if prooeoded against, for
damages, hence our drawing the atten-
tion of our readers to the law upon the
matter.

A peculiar sect, calling themselves the
i ti
in distl of ofDmlaves ot Christ," io 10 DeGovernmen nt
of Vladimirak, The adherents of the
seat believe that if one dies by the "rad
death" his soul goes directly to the abode
of the saints. One who mattes np his
mind to die like a Saint gets baptized and
partakes of the holy oomnlunfoc. He
then lies down on the floor with his feet
to the door. 'then, from beneath the
floor or from a cavity made especially
for the purpose, creeps a man dressed in
red olothes with a large red pillow in his
hands. The attending worshippers be-
gin to sing a dirge, while the red man
throws the pillow over the doomed man's
face, and holds it there until the man is
suffocated. If the man who dooms him -
emit to the "red death" is strong he is
bound to the floor with ropes, so that in
his struggles at the last moment he may
not be able to overpower the "slave of
Christ" who executes the terrible oere-
mony at his request.
