The Seaforth paperer say that Dr. Cole-
man had received another paralytic stroke
Thursday afternoon and is in a critical
condition.
John Aird, who for the pact two years
bas been manager of the Bank of Com -
memo here, is about to be removed to
Toronto, where he has been appointed to
the assistant managership of the Toronto
agency, a position the.duties of which he
bas been discharging for some months.

A serious accident happened to a
young man named Chas. Powell, at the
furriture factory, He was ascending in
the elevator and 130 oareleesly allowed
his right foot to project over the platform
when it was caught between the beams
of the floor and the elevator, tearing the
flesh from his leg and foot. Seven slit.

flesh together. The accident was solely
due to carelessness.

011n.—Last Tuesday morning Mary,
reliot of the late Henry Baines, passed
away to her reward, after a somewhat
troublesome illness caused by an internal
oanoer. She w0.[ 83 years of age. The
declared was born and married in York-
shire, England, and on owning to this
corsair with her husband located. in
Halton 00. Ahont 80 years ago they
removed to Morris township where they
continuously resided up to their death.
Mr. Baines died Itboub 10 years ago.
Mrs. Baine was well known in this sec-
tion of country and wa0 very highly re.
speoted. She wee a consistent Ohristian
woman and belonged to the Methodist
ohu oll for years. She was the mother
of 18 children, 7 of whom aro still 11331014.
The funeral took plaoe at Sunshine on
Wednesday. Rev. fir. 1hdfray, of Sol -
