A. Deadman received three Jersey heifers
from it breeder at Brampton. Two of

good grade. This gives Mr. Deadman a
herd of Dight, seven females and a male.
He has disposed of one of his cows to C.
Grimoldby, The Jerseys are becoming
deservedly popular in this section, es-
pecially where rich milk and prime but-
ter are desired.

means what it should be but the follow-

Miss Hargreaves, accompanist. This
was [the first public appearance of the
Brussels orchestra but they need have no
fear of taking their stand along with the
best. The only noticeable difficulty ap-
pears to be keeping the instruments in
tune. The music furnished Ives tip-top
and well worth listening to. The per•
sonnet of the orchestra is as follows :-

Blashill ; cornet, Jas. Jones ; trombone,
