At a regular meeting of the Hallett Grange, No. 898, it was moved by John Cuming, sr., seconded by John Brigham, and carried unanimously, that thio G'ange in session condemns the notion of the Millers' Association in a4ning a higher tariff on floor, as we think it is an injustice to the farmers. Also that this Grange thinks that the uresent tariff in • =hanging flour for wheat is too high, and we are of the opinion that the Gov eroment should pass a late regulating in some way the quantity of flour and offal ibat the millers should give in exchange for our wheat, as we aro of opinion that they do non rive ns a fair • xultange. This Grange also thinks that the mea -ere now in use for toeing the weight of grain is too small, and that it should not be less than one half bushel. The Tion. In 1854 he was elected over Thomas MoQ seen.
