The Christmas tree entertainment of
the Methodist Sabbath school in this
plan was held on Monday evening and
was well attended, The superintendent
of the school, J. K. Baker, eoecpied the
chair, and gave a very tuterestieg sketch
of Sabbath school work in the Guelph'
Conference. The program consisted of
recitations, dialogues, music and address-
or by Rev. R. Paul, of Brussels, and the
pastor, Rev, 1'. Smith. The Christmas
tree was wall laden with gifts. Among
those generously remembered wan Rev.
Mr. Smith who received over thirty
bushels of oats for his horse.

Duncan MoLacahlin, the well-known
stook -breeder, has a four-year.old grade
sow that weighs 1644 pounds. She. is
hard to beat. He is going into the Hob,
