A program consisting vocal and .instrumental music and Higl land dancing will be presented, Arrang ments have been made with Adam Goo to supply a first-class quality of 'Jersey' ice cream. On entrance to the rink each ticket holder will receive a numbered ticket in exchange, a duplicate being placed in a bag. At the close of the con- cert a drawing pi11 take place, and the holder of the duplicate to the number first drawn will be entitled to a minim ticket from here to either the Toronto or Hamilton Exhibition. Brulaels Band will be in attendance and discourse music at intervals during the evening, The rink is being tastefully decorated with evergreens for the occasion. Ballantyne, Church threat, was a Beene of activity, it being the occasion of the marriage of Itis only daughter, Miss Annie, to Alex. Strachan, a'well•known merchant of Brussels. The ceremony was performed by Rev. G. B. Howie, in the presence of a number of guests, after which the company sat down to an excellent spread. The Band took the opportunity of paying their compliments to Mr. and Mrs. Straehau and played a number of selections in good style. A few hours were spent in social enjoyment, when the cabs conveyed the happy twain to their residence on Thomas street, which had been fitted up for the new occupants.
