Kippen correspondent says :-"It is with sorrow we chronicle, in this week's' issue, the death of Robert Hunt, which took place at his residence on the 29th ult., is the 63rd year of his age. Deceased was a native of Oambridgeehire, England, where be received his early education. He name to Canada with his father's family at the age of nineteen years, and settled in the vicinity of . Kippen about forty years ago, where he engaged in the milling business and acquired consider- able wealth. Milch cows .are lower with sales at 422 to 440 each. Calves— Firm, ab 42.60 to 48.00. per head, accord - to quality. Sheep—Firm at 49.25 to 44.. 50 eaoh, and lambs sold at 42.25 to 48.25 eaoh, or from 31 to 51c per lb. The feeling is easy and the prospeobs that cattle will sell the balance of the week at full easy prices with today. Sheep and lambs—There was a slow trade with 60 oars on sale, 28 from the over supply of yesterday and part of the balance yarded late last night. In the lot were 14 oars Canada lambs. There was little trading done and only a fair demand from the buyers for Eastern butchers ; the New England Co. bought a fair number, and a few loads taken by the order buyers; prides barely steady with the decline of yesterday for the bulk of stook sold with about steady prices for tops of loads and beet of lambs and sheep on sale; good to choice western lambs sold 44,85 to 44.45; best, 44.60 ; fair lobs of fare and light. weight lambs, 43.50 to 44 ; 'fair to good sheep sold at 42.60 to 48 ; fat ewes, 49 to 49.25 ; choice, 43.60 ; fat, heavy waiters, 100 to 1251bs„ 44 to 44,25 ; heavy skin. ned sheep were very slow of tale and with several rhumbas of that class of• sheep on the market, they sold ab fully 25 to 400'lower.
