When about three miles from the town, it is supposed the horse gob frightened at something on the road, and bolted suddenly to the side, striking a wheel of the cart against a post of the fence. 113r. Sproat was thrown Out and instantly killed. He was one of the pioneer eebtlere of Lauren and was ono of the most highly rospooted mem- bers of the community.
