The annual meeting of the Gorrie 1
Methodist Sabbath school was held in the
basement of the church on Friday even-
ing, pct. 30th. There were nineteen of
the board of management preeent. The
report of the school for the year given by
the different officers showed the school to
be in a prosperous condition, having
made an increase in attendance, of 1,259
over the preceeding year, Election of
offleera was then taken up and on the
past Superintenrint (W. J. Greer) posi-
tively refusing to aeoept the position for
the coming term, W. tI. Gregg was elect.
ed as Superintendent; Isaac Sanderson,
Assistant Superintendent and Treasurer;
H. Evans, Secretary ; C. Gilpin, Librar-
ian ; Miss Jennie Greer, Organist. With
these officers and their assistants backed
by au able staff of teachers we bespeak
for the school unbounded enemas. It was
decided to have the annntrl anniversary
sermons of the Sunday School preached
on Sabbath, Des. 20121, and to hold the
Annual entertainment on Xmas night.

While John Spackman was returning
home from Grand Bend one day last

Teeswater, is to be instructor, and the
course will consist of thirteen lessons for
the first quarter. The school's officers
are :--Roderick McDonald, seeretary-
treasurer,and Donald Saunders, D. R.
McIntosh and D. D. Yule, managing
committee.
