OBITUARY, -Friday of last week Addie,
beloved wife of George Sanders, Flint,
Michigan, was galled away from earth
after a brief illness. She had given birth
to a babe the Sabbath previous and short-
ly after fever set ie, resulting in her
death. Deceased was the eldest daughter
of Hugh Williams, Brussels, and was
born in Elora, Ontario, on March 22nd,
1858. She was united in marriage to her
now bereft husband, who was a former
resident of this place, about 13 or 14
years ago, end they have made their
home in Flint singe, Mr. Sanders holding
a luerative position on the Grand Trunk
railway. Mrs. Sanders was never very
ragged, but no one expected to bear of
her demise. The funeral on Sabbath
was very largely attended and an impres-
sive service was conducted by the Metho-
dist minister. The subject of this notice
was beloved by a large circle of friends.
Her death was another triumph added to
the Christian faith. Mr. Sanders, Mr.
and Mrs. Williams and family are deeply
sympathized with in their bereavement.

There were 88 carloads of stuff on the
market, which included 125 sheep and
lambs, 459 bogs, and about 200 calves.
The butchers' cattle sales were made
much Blower than was the case last Fri.
day. Baying for Montreal was only
active, there being twelve carloads taken
for there. Ono carload was taken for
Dundas and another for Hamilton.
Prices were not so high as they were on
Friday last. Common to good cattle sold
for from 2ac to 3, o per pound, and choice
to fanny 37}0 to 4o per pound. Not very
many goody cattle offered and the demand
was fair. About 30 or 40 head were tak-
en by the dealers at prices varying at
from 3o to Se per pound, according to
quality. Good fat steers would bring
from. 4}o to 5c per pound, and bulls at 3o
to 4c per poimd. In stookere and feeders
there was merely a nominal trade done,
but e, few feeders are wanted at from 290
to 3c per pound. In hogs, there was a
slightly firmer tone in this line. As high
as 5o pep pound, weighed off the oars,' was
paid for some choice long bacon hogs,
the range for these being mostly from
$4,80 to 95 per cwt. In yearlings -Firm-

soon sold. Good grain fed yearlings are
wanted. Ordinary sheep fetch front 490

spring lambs on the market to -day : six
head sold for $2 each and twosold for $2

sold readily enough. but the boor and
common ones were hard to dispose of.
Prices ranged from 08 to $4.95 per head

There have been rather more fah sheep
shown. Trade was steady, and prices as
