Frank Wood end Mies Eleoary Joey,
two popular Exeteritee, were united in
marriage at Mount Forest Wednesday of
last week.
Ford Bros., butchers, killed one of
this year's lambs on Teeeday of last week
that dressed 28e lbe. The animal was
born Jau. 31st, and consequently would
be only six weeks and 5 days old.
Among the illustrations in the Satur-
day Globe we notice one of the team of
driving elks owned by E. H. Fish, of
Exeter. The animals are shown in
front of the barber shop, Mise Frankie
Fish holding the "ribbons."
The home of Mr. and hire. Albert
Ford was the scene of a pleasant affair
on Monday evening of last week, it being
the celebration of their silver wedding.
About forty of their most, intimate
friends and relatives were present and a
moot enjoyable time was the result. The
presents were indeed a fine display.

Becoming tired of farming on the land
his good mother gave him, near Goderioh,
Harry Brown traded his real.estate about
a year ago for a livery' stable in Landau,
and carried on the business in bis wife's
name, Letitia W. Brown. In addition to
the farm, a obattel mortgage for $3,900
was given, covering bis horses, carriages,

seized.

The Brussels contingent of the Salva-
tion Army visited Wroxeter on Friday
evening. They held forth in the town
hall, and it is rumored that they intend
organizing a permanent corps here.
Rev. J. H. Hazlewood, of King street
Methodist chetah, Ingereolt, conducted
the Missionary anniversary services of
the Methodist church in this place on
Sabbath. Rev. Mr. Herr took his work.
WEDDINa BELLS.—There was a quiet
wedding at the home of the Mikes
Montgomery, of Wroxeter, on the even-
ing of Wednesday, Marob 20th. The

Montgomery and David. H. Marshall, of

her slater, Nlise Maggie Montgomery,
