A young man named Henry Brault, a resident of Peterboro', Oot., recently per- formed an not of heroism,; actuated by friendship, which .is worthy of record among the heroic men of any age. Brault and another young man, John Jamieson, were at work in the wild Madawaska. region for the St. Anthony Lumber Com- pany. Jamieson met with a severe acci- dent, which rendered him delirious, and Brault started with him for civilization, where surgical treatment could be had. They had travelled on foot but afewhun- dred yards when Jamieson's strength gave out, and he became helpless.
