MAaninD IN Kansas,—Mre. Taylor, of
whom mention was made some time ago
as having gone to visit friends in Kansas,
was recently married there to a Mr. Pat.
terson. The happy twain are at present
visiting friends in old Huron prior to
their leaving for the prairie state, their
future home. Mrs. Patterson's youngest
daughter, we are informed, will acoom-
pany them there. While we join with
the many friends and all concerned in.
wishing them many days of peaoe and
prosperity in their new relations and
home we cannot help regretting the lose
we sustain by their removal from our

little girl was seated on the bank of one
of the horses riding to a watering plaoe
on the roadside, opposite her father's
farm, when in passing a rig on the road
the horse shied and threw her off with
the above result. Under medical treat-
ment the broken limb is doing Eta well as
oan he hoped for.
MINIM= RosIDENaa.—There ars few,
if any, finer farm houses in this motion
than that erected by Wm. Mollie cm his
farm, 6th line of this township, during
the past Summer. The site chosen and
the surroundings, coupled with the style
and finish of the building is all that we'd
be desired for a farm residence. The
contrast between the new mansion and
the old log.building is very striking, but
when we consider that the latter has
stood the wear and weather of 86 years,
with but slight repairs, we cannot hells
admiring its durable qualities. Mr, and
Mre. Miohie and family are now settled
in their new gaartere and it is to be bop.
ed that they may be long spared to enjoy
the comfort of their new home, whioh
they have merited so well by their in-
tegrity and industry.'
