We got her out yesterday at noon and hauled her with a team of horses to the Western side of the town, near one of the coal pits, where a large fire was burning, made up of coal oil barrels and other combustible material. When your man, Mr. Murphy, attacked the fire, and in about four minutes all was out. Itis allowed here that it would have taken 50 men with buckets, carrying water only 50 feet, half an hour to put out the same fire. There is ua mistake about the fire- fighting qualities of this machine. Our people are all well pleased with the gen- eral make rip, its attractive appearance, and its strong, substantial qualities of durability.
