On Monday a wedding was solemnized
in St. Paul's Roman Catholic church be-
fore a good congregation, the contracting
parties being T. Corbett, of Hallett, and
Mee Maggie Saffron, of this town. We

The annual meeting of the Blyth Lawn
Tennis Club was held on the 25th inst.,

On Monday the regular sitting of the
12th Division Court was held before
Judge Doyle. The most interesting case
which occupied the most of the day
was tried before a jury. F. Metcalf sued
Rev, J. F. Parke for payment of notes to
the value of 13100 with interest, wbiolf
the defendant gave to help liquidate the
debt of the church of which he was pas-
tor some years ago. After several wit-
nesses had been examined the judge ad-
dressed the jury. They retired for a short
time and brought in their verdict that the
defendant pay half note and interest and
coats, the plaintiff half of costs of Court.

Nelson Thornton, Morris, near Bine-
vale, Buffered the loss of his house and a

spark patching on the roof, Mr. Thorn-
ton tenders his most heartfelt thanks to
the neighbors who turned out and aaeist-
ed at the fire. They turned out again
and ereoted for him a frame two-storey
houeo on the old foundation, 14x25, which
was so far completed that he was able to
move into it on Tuesday of last week—
