Douglas, Dr. Taib beat Mr. Sinclair in
singles, and Mr. Douglas defeated Dr.
Davidson ; Mr. Rose conquered Mr.
Mosier and Messrs. Cameron and Cook
did not play their game. The home
team were victors by 3 out of 5, Our
boys are now looking for other worlds to

fell off a tree and dislocated hie right
shoulder. He is doing as well as could

Seaforth last Friday evening to witness
the foot ball matoh between the Berlin
"Rangers," champions of the Western
Foot Ball Assooiation, and the "Hurons"
of Seaforth. The doctor was pleased to
see the "Hurons" defeated, as some
years ago, when the "Rangers" were in
their prime and champions of Canada
and the 'United States, he was ao active
member and played on their forward line.

and $5 to $6.25, Hogs—The offerings
were light—dve loads, and with an active
demand, the basis was steady, at 53.00
on all but roughs and stags ; roughs,
$8.45 to $8.55 ; stags, $2 90 to $8,10 ;
Yorkers, 148 lbs., sold at 54 05 ; do. 128
lbs„ $4.05.

Toronto, June 20.—A very heavy run
of cattle—in fact, the heaviest of thio
season—was at hand for the opeaing
trade this week at the Western cattle
markets this morning, Tho arrivals were
05 carloads, composed or 1,400 cattle, 600
sheep and yearlings, and 150 naives, 125
witch cows and 1,500 hogs, Export
cattle—According to cable advioes from
the British markets, the quotations show-
ed a slight advance. Choice heavy ex.
porters were quoted 15o per cwt. higher,
or $4.70 to $5.18 per owl,, and an oo,
casional bunch of extra choice brought
$5.25 per owl. Good light stook sold at
4.60 to 4. 3 per 7 e owt. Batahera' cattle

—Choice solootione were quoted at $4 to
$4.50 per owb., and medium and lower
grades $8.25 to $8.75. A heavy supply of
inferior grades were easier at $8 to $3.15
per owt. A few lots of extra heavy bulla
at $3,75 to $4.25 per cwt. Light stook
bulls were firm, at $2.50 to 58 per owt.
Stockers and feeders brought from $2.75
to $4 per cwt. Stook heifers in good
demand, at $2.75 to $3 per cwt. A light
supply of feeders :net with slow demand,
at $4 to $4 25 per owt. Sheep and lambs
—Sheep for export and butchers' use
sold at $8.75 to $8.90 per cwt., and a
heavy supply of good butohere' sheep was
in active demand, at $8 to $3.50 each. A
few lobe of good yearlings at $4 to 54.50
per cwt., and beaks were at $2.76 to $3
per cwt. About 500 lambs at $3 to $4,25
eaoh. A heavy supply of good vealaalvee
at $2 to $10 per head. Hogs—Choice
selections were 5o per lb. lower, or 54.375
per owe, and thick fat were eo per 1b,
easier, or $4.875 per cwt, A light run of
sows was steady, at 53 per cwt, A few
stags $2 per owl.
