The Belgrave store on wheels is still on
the road with Wm. Whaley at the helm,
Wm. Craig got his new barn up on
Thursday of lest week. -Sheep washing

ket is low but sheep pay well enough as
Iambs are a good prise: A wedding on
Monday next. The bride lives in Clinton
and the groom lives on the 7th line. -
Miss Hawthorn was buried on Wednes-
day of this week. Bar people live on the
3rd line.-Oheeter Wilkinson, 5th line,
is getting better. -Alex. Russell, 7th line,
is doing duty for his country at London,

Rev. Mr, Yelland intends visiting his

Rev. J. E. Hunter delivered an address
to the children in the Mebbodist church
last Sabbath evening, He took as his
text "And I, if I'be lifted up will draw
all men unto me,' illustrating by mean
of a magnet and nails the power that
Christ has in drawing all men unto Him.
A garden party in aounection with the
Methodist church will be held on Monday
eveuing, June 19th. The exaob place
where it will be held is not fnlly decided
upon yet, brit will be announced later. A
good program will be provided consisting
of vocal and instrumental music. A
good supply of relreehments will be pro-
vided for the occasion.
The work on the Methodist circuit here
will be married along a little differently
to last year under the supervision of
Revds. Messrs. Yelland and Edmunds,
the latter taking the Easterly part of the
work, viz., Iienfryn, Whitfield's and
Bethel, and Rev. Mr. Yelland will con-
tinue to take charge of Ethel, Oraubrook
and Roe's. The new pastor will be here
for the first Sabbath of Jnly.

28th, Carl, the second son of Rev. Wm.
Baugh, of Ailsa Craig, a former pastor of
Walton Methodieb ohuroh, died of
Bright's disease, 'after an Blase of eight
months, in his 18th year. Deceased was
born in Welton and was a bright, lovable
youth whose testimony as to the future
life was radiant with the brightest hopes.
The funeral took plane ou Tuesday of
last week, interment being made at the
Nairn oemebery. Mr. and Mrs. Baugh's
many old Mende here will accord them
very sinoene sympathy in their bereave,
ment.

Rev, Dr, lvledd, of Sarnia, delivered a
line lecture before the Theologian' Union
on Wednesday evening on the Book of
Job. On the afternoon of the same day

The growth of the publishing interests of

of a number of new presses and other
machinery. Out of the profits the hand-
some sum of $10,500 was devoted to the
Superannuation Fund, the largest granb
yet made by the House.
