Reoently the marriage of Kao Kan, of Formosa, to Mies Bella McKay, Seo• and daughter of Rev. Dr, G. L. McKay, the famous Canadian missionary, was announced. Now the marriage of Mary Helen, eldest daughter of the missionary, to a eon of Tan He, one of the native preachers took place. Koa Kaw will be remembered as the young China- man who accompanied the missionary on hie last trip to this country. These marriages are important, as it praotioally aettlee the question of Rev. A daring bank robbery was parpebra• ted at Bowmanville early on Saturday morning of last week when the Standard Bank was robbed of over 111,- 000.
