Roger, of Mitchell, was here this week
taking measurements and levels for the
proposed new sewers on Tarnberry street,
assisted by F. S. Scott, Village 01ark.
A special meeting of the Ooanoil was
held on Tuesday evening to decide
obether one sewer in the centre of the
street or one on ants aide would be put
down. The latter was deoided upon.
It was also agreed to cut the corner alter
crossing Mill street, instead of running
direst to the iron bridge eo tbat the out-
let would be made near the fire engine
platform baok of Wm. Rose' floor mill.
This will enable a, convenient oon-
neotion in ease of fire with the engine and
the water main that is to be put in the
sewer on the Weet eide of the street.
Tenders will be asked for the work im•
mediately SO as to get at it me early

work will speedily follow the sewers.
We believe the new sewers should go
