Chief of Police Hoffman and County
Constable Pratt, of Kincardine, came to
Luoknow and arrested a '!gold" epeohaole
peddler on a warrant charging him with
stealing a gold locket and chain, from a
man named Allin, of Kincardine. Be

trate Thomas Lawrence held a prelimi-
nary court and remanded the prisoner to
Kincardine for trial. The prisoner is a
big strong fellow, but on the plea of be-
ing badly crippled in the gleet and side,

needles, spectaolas and other track to
our citizens before being arrested.
