death beckoned the spirit of Mrs.W. H.
Hutchinson away lest Monday and like a
ripe ehoaf of wheat she went to the Hata
venly Garner to enjoy the reward of
God's children. Deceased, whose maiden
name was Jane Morley, was bora inpar-
ham, England, where she was unitad in
marriage to her now bereft partner when
22 years of age. They cacao to this
country in 1858 and after a sojourn of 2
yeare iu the toovusbip of Clark and a year
in Mullett they settled on lob 18, con. 5,
Grey, then a bush lot, and upon which
they have oottinued to reside for the past
41 years. Their home was the centre
around which the early Betttorn gathered
for religions service and the deceased will
bo long remembered on account of the
many kindly words spoken and prayere
offered to and for those deairoue of fleeing
from the wrath to come. For many
years Mre. Hnbohinsou wait a worthy
member of the Methodist ahuroh bub for
a number of years she had oast in her lot
with the Brethren. A. few ,years ago the
stibjeob of this notice fell in her yard end
had the misfortune to break her log and
this accident) appeared to bo the eom-
mencement of nor failure in health.
Heart disease sot in and after a somewhat

The funeral of the late Mrs. Ino. Bow-
man, last Saturday afternoon, was at-

dence of the respect in which deceased

(AUT. --Death ie sad at nil biome but it
is especially so when the young and
promising are out off. The village reeeiv
ed a shock on Sunday evening wben the
news of John Bray's, jr., death was
known. He was at work on Thursday,
was taken soddenly ill and died on Sun-
day evening. He finished Isis apprentice-
ship as miller in Mr. Black's mill here
last Spring and was assisting his father
this Summer. He was about 20 years of
age, a quiet, modest gentlemanly young
man, a favorite with everyone. His
family have the optimally of all the com-
munity. His remains were interred in
the English church cemetery on Tues-
day, followed by a large number of gym-
pathisingfriends. The service was con•
ducted by Rev. Megace, Kennedy, of
Wroxeter ; Fisher, of Gerrie ,•Kerr, of
Transmit ; Sltw, of Bayfield, and Sabine,
of Mount Forest.
