The Grand Orange Lodge of British
North America opened its sessions on

Masonic Temple, Windeor. The Grand
Blank Chapter met in the rooms of the

It was greeted with cheers. It was all
the more appreciated owing to the foot
that Mayor John Davis, who read it, is a
Catholic. The faction of the lodge
whioh is in favor of upholding the grim
Myles of the Conservative party, with
Sir Charles Tupper ae the leader, and the
'Maoitobaschool question ae the issue,
1100 far outnumbered. Maj. Sam. Hughes
M. P., ie the leader of this faction, Hon.
N, Clarke Wallace is the leader of the
faotion whiob deserted the Conservative
party and took the same attitude on the
Manitoba school question as did the
Liberal party. Robt. Birmingham, who
is the organizer of the Conservative party,

heavy at the Toronto live stock market
