ADDRESS AND PRESENTOTION,—A very pleasing feature i11 002000tio11 with tbe anonal meeting of Melville church con- gregation, laat Wednesday evening, was the presentation of a splendid silver waiter, valued at $30.00, bearing a suit• ableineoription, to Mrs. (Dr.) Graham, as x token of appreoiation by the congre- gation of her faithful and efficient 058010• es as organist. Eider Stewart read the following address and Waller Innes made the presentation :— To MRs. (Da.) GRAHAM,—We have learn. ed with regret that you are about to sever your connection with the oo0grega• tion through your removal from Brussels. We cannot, however, allow you to take your departure from amongst us without giving some expression to our sense of the loss whish we shall sustain by the step upon whioh you bave decided. Yon have been long identified with the con- gregation and have always taken an mot- ive intereet in its work and welfare. You have been a teacher in the Sabbath school for some twenty years ; you have soaght to promote the general Missionary work of tbe congregation and have taken a zealous part in the operations of the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society and of the Mission Bond ; and for. many years you have been a member of the choir, in all of whish departments of the thumb's work you have rendered valuable assistance. For the past four years you have aoted in the capacity of organist, and have performed the duties pertaining to that position with great fidelity and satisfaction, and, as we know, without promise or expectation of fee or reward. This cheerful and ungrudging serviuo we wish to gratefully acknowledge, and we also ask you to be pleased to exempt of this silver waiter as a slight expression of the congregational appreciation of that which, whilst it has been a valuable service to us, has, we are sure, been to yon "a labor of love" and we trust that this small gift may renall to you from time to time your long, happy and help- ful association with us es a people. We cannot refrain from also giving voice to our regret that we are to part with your husband. Dr. Graham's connection with the congregation for twenty nine years, his labors o0 the Building Committees when this thumb was erected and on the Board of Management at various inter- nale, hie oonetant 1910800 and personal asei0tan0e as a member of the olloir, and his hearty and liberal support of the ordinanoee of the thereto, render it prop- er that we 81102131, in parting, expres8 ou8 sincere acknowledgements that in all these respects ho has so well andworth- ily filled an important place amongst us. Our best wishes go with you both and we trust that God may guide you in epees- ing the plane of your fatale abode, and that there you may prove as useful and helpful members of the church and the community as you have been during the long period of your residenoe hero.
