Sxatrtm 11.—No one who reads the fol-
lowing will doubt that the heart of the
great press of this County is in the right
place. Dear brothers, we value your ex.
presaione of sympathy beyond our ability
of expression. The Seaford' Expositor
Bays :—"A ooaple of weeks azo a robber
broke into the domicile of the editor of
TSE BRUasnos POST, and invading the
aanotity of bis bed chamber, purloined
his pantaloons, carried them into the
Iditahen, fobbled eight dollars from the
pockets, and made good bis escape.
Fortunately for the editor, the pants
were left, although the money was taken.
Several papers, while congratulating the
editor on the safety of his pants, condole
with him on the lose of his money.
While we man join in the congratulations,
we must protect against the condolence,
as an editor who could be so reckless as
to go to sleep and leave eight dollars
loose in his pockets, deserves to loose it.
Although we do not wish to mast any
suspioions on the integrity of our Bros•
aisle brother, yet we must say that the
fact of aq editor having so maob spare
money might have a tendency to that ef.
fent."
Ova uld friend McGillicuddy, of
Goderioh, affirms :—"Up to the time
of going to press we have not been in•
formed that the burglar who took $8
from the residence of the editor of Tan
BRUSSELS POST and left a jaok•knife in
exchange, has returned the $8 and
claimed the jackknife, This is par.
tioulerly tantalizing when we remember
that the editor is a local magistrate and
would like to have justice done in the
premises."

Looking back upon the year that
has just closed we have reason to
feel grateful to our friends for
