nature. It endorsed the notion of the
conference's epeeist temperance commit-
tee ; it urged all electors to vote on the
referendum ; and pledged opposition to
aoy Government that would trifle with
the expreeeed wish of the temperance
people. Ie proposing the resolution, ad -
drones were delivered by Revde. Kenner
and McDonagh. The resolution was
adopted. It was decided, on motion, to
bold the next district meeting at Mitchell.
Complimentary reeolutione were passed,
extending tbanke to the Methodists of
Stratford for their hospitality, to Rev. E.
N. Baker and to the members of the
Central Methodist oburob for the nee of
the room for their meeting. The meet-
