ROoERT BURNS PAe9E9 AWAY —Last Tuesday night, about 10o'oloak, the taper of thie life was extinguished and the spirit of Robert Burne was oalled to its Maker. He had passed the .allotted span as he was nearly 78 years of age and had been a very hearty man, hie death being the result of a Gainer in his lip together with increasing years. Mr. Burne was the youngest of seven sons hie father being a shepherd in Rosboro'ahire, Soot. land. Io his early years he was appren- ticed to the tailoring and when hie mili- tary ardor was fired he enlisted with the Enniskillen Dragoons from wbioh service hie father bought hie redeem after ayear's experience. Coming to Canada when 19 years of age he resided at Cayuga, in Haldimand 00., and afterward at Galt before 0 coming est land in Wawnoeh tradling it fortook farm n miles South of Braeaele on the graver road, Morrie township. Here he and Mrs. Barns lived up to about 16 years ago when they sold out and came to Brussels to reside. Mrs. Barns' home was at Hawick, Soottend, and she came to this county a year after her now de. oeaeed husband when they were married.
