Commerce will give a silver medal for
the beet pen of sheep, any breed, to con-
sist of aged ram, ram tomb, pair aged
ewes, pair ehearliog ewes and pair of ewe
Iambs, W. K. Pearce, manager of the
Dominion Beek, Seaforth, will give a
prize of 95 for the beat saddle horse or
mare, speed to be tested, best two in
three, half mile dash. James Archibald
will give a prize of $5 to the lady who
will harness a horse, hitch it to a buggy,
and drive once around the track, making
the beet time ; Thos. E. Haye will give a
prize of 92 to the lady making the emend
fastest time in the contest. Only trot-
ting or peeing allowed. No maps al-
lowed on any part of the harness. The
following are the speeding contests which
will take place on the half -mile driving
track attached to the exhibition grounds:
Trot or pane, open to home that never
won public money, Prize, $50. Trot or
pace, open to horses that have never
beaten 2.35. Prize, $50. Trot or pane,
open to all. Prize, 975. Prize money in
each race to be divided as follows : let,
60 per cent. ; 2nd, • 25 per cent. ; 3rd, 15
per oent.; 4th, 10 per cent. An entrance
fee of 5 per oent. will be ,barged, and 5
