of tbe beloved wife of Peter Towers,
whose maiden name was L. MoLean.. It

being at the advanced age of 79 years.
She and her husband, who survives, are
old residents of Clinton, living here ton

HYMENEAL. — On Wednesday of last
week, about seventy gueate assembled at
the residence of John Dennison, to wit
nes the marriage of Mies Zetta May,
youngest daughter of Mrs. Thos. Denni-
son, Brussels, to Dalby Tapper Kendall,
Mao of Brussels. At five o'clock, the
Wedding March was played by Mies Dora
Kinney, of Walton, and the matrimonial
knot was tied by Rev. A. W. Dever. The
bride was dressed in white organdie,
trimmed with cream silk, and carried a
bogaet of white carnations. After the
ceremony a royal spread was partaken of
and the evening enjoyably spent in games
and music. The presents to the bride
were numerous and muoh admired,
among them being a beautifully framed
marriage certificate, the gift of Rev. and
Mrs Dever. The young couple will pro-
bably locate in Mitchell, where the best
wishes of a large circle of friends in Wal-
ton and Brussels will follow them.

ute or three miles in 1 hour, and a little

passes there in one hoar. At present the
creek ie 22 feet wide and 5 feet deep, but
at one time this Spring it was 7 feet deep
and 40 feet wide. 10 millions and me-
ant gallons of water pave in one hour or
about 260 million gallons in 24 boars. A
new ant in A. Stewart's plaoe, 7 feet deep
and 84 feet wide at the top and still the
earth is 8 or 4 feet from the edge of the
creek. The boom of the dredge ie 36 feet

Cleaver, a prosperous young farther of

beautifully attired in a travelling alit of
brown ladies' cloth, brimmed with white
satin. Little Mise L. M. Meehan, who
acted se Maid of Heuer, was dressed in
white and oarried a bogus(' of white
flowers. Rev. H. E. Ourry, of Ethel,
performed the ceremony. After the
ueual wedding meal Mr. and Mre. Cleaver
drove to Atwood and took the train for
pointe East where they will spend a abort
time visiting relatives. The young
couple are well known in these parts and
highly respected. Mr. Olsaysr is a clever,
industrious young fellow, endowed with
good common muse, manly prinoiplee
and owns a splendid farm. With this
start in life and the aeeietaooe of snob an
excellent wile, we predict for the young
maple a very euooeseful career. Their
many friends join in wishing them a
pleasant trip, safe return and prosperous
future.

bath morning from Matt. 6:28, "Come

and the angel's testimony is corrobora-
tive. (1) The text expresses the great
humiliation endured by Christ ; (2) It
shows the strongest proof of Hie Love ;
(3) The fulfilment of the Saviour's faith.
