MRs. ELLIOTT PASTES AWAY.—Word WW1
reoeived here the other day giving the
sad news that Mrs. A, F. Elliott, of
Alexander, Man., formerly Mise Mary.
Fitzpatrick, ot Brussels, had departed
this life on Wednesday evening of last
week. She gave birth to twin sees at
noon that day and died at 9 p. m. One
of the babies also passed away. Mr.
Elliott was away at Brandon oil baeineee
and did not get home until hie wife had
gone to the epirit world. Two daughters
and a eon aro left to hie care. The fan•
oral took place on Friday. Mr. Elliott
will be accorded eiooere sympathy in his
=tinned for bereavement.

family, of Innerliip. Mre,' Pelton died at
the hospital, at Woodetooe, Sunday, of
typhoid fever, Seven • weeks ago the
father, Gibson Felton died from it. Not
long afterwards Mrs. Woods, of Galt, a
married daughter of the deoeaeed, sive
oumbed to the same disease. She bed
been nursing her father. Meantime the
mother and another daughter end a eon
were sent to the hospital suffering with
typhoid fever. The daughter died two
weeks ago. The mother was then very
weak, and it wee kuown by the dootore
that ebe weld not reoover. The boy is
getting along nicely. He will recover.

Brueeele sympathin with him in his

GONE Roue. — As intimated ten last
week's ieeme ot TRE Pose, Lizzie E'.,
eldest denghter of Richard and Jennie
Leatberdale, bade farewell to her earthly
home and entered into rest on Thursday
of last week, at the early age of 19 year.,
11 months and 18 days. Her inane was
very brief an she did not go to bed until
the Saturday preview, although for a
0009.10 of days before that she felt a
dizzmeee in her head.. and bad a ..ore
throat from toneolitie. Erysipelas fol
lowed, going to the brain, aud despite all
that could be done by physicians and
loving friends she passed away. Lizzie
was born in Bruseele and grew up a gen-
eral favorite with all. She was jolly,
generous, industrious, thoughtful and,
better than all, -a Christian young
woman with the oourage of her oonvio-
tions and worthily set an example that
young people might follow with profit.
As a pupil of the Methodist Sabbath
school, a member of the church and
League choirs, au aotive worker in the
League and in her church membership
she displayed an activity and devotion
rarely exemplified, but the Lord had need
of her and we believe she is now one of
the heavenly choir who Want the praises
of the Saviour she loved and served.
Her young Mende highly prized her
friendship both at home and abroad and
the manifest grief of the young people of
the oommunity is not to be wondered. at.
The funeral took place on Sabbath after-
noon and was very largely attended, over
100 000veyaooee being counted in the
prom:aeionwhich was beaded by the
members of the R. 0. T. M. and L. 0. T.
el., the deceased being an office bearer in

formerly of Brussels, Ont., was married
to William A. Brydon. The oeremouy
wee performed by the Rev. 0. F. J.
Wrigley. The house was prettily decor-
ated with palette and out flowers, The
bride and groom entered to the wedding
march from "Lohengrio," played byMies
Corinne Bordwell, of Alden. They were
preceded by a little flower girl, Mies
Margaret Shaw, who wore a gown of
white embroidered mall and carried pink
oernations. Thebride was given away
by her anole, Mr. Fergaeoo. She was
gowned in white Persian lawn trimmed
with white satin ribbon and carried a
shower boquet of Bride rosea. After the
reception supper was served for 20 guests,
the table deooratione being pink and
white roses and oarnatione. The ont•of•
town gneete were Mise Corinne Bordweil,
of Alden, and Mr. Maybury, of New
York. Mr. and Mre. Brydon will be at
