The annual meeting of the ratepayers
of S. S. No 3, was held in the school
house on Deo. 26th. Reeve Turnbull
was eleoted chairman and D. L. Strachan

emoting Alex. McDonald trustee. Wood
was offered to the trustees at $1.70 per
oord, bat the offer was declined. Jamee

Hugh Stewart, a well known resident
of the 15th con , has excepted a situation
with the MoOormiok Agl. Implement
Co., as general agent, with headquarters
at Walkerton. Owing to this arrange•

is out of debt and a surplus on band.
It is our sad duty to ahroniole the death
of Agnea Mien Moffatt, of North Boun-
dary, which °courred on Cbrietmas day.
The departed was in her 18th year and
until about two yeare ago wag a bright
and promising yonag girl but about that
time was attacked with lung trouble and
has beeu very delicate since. An attack
of pleurisy and bronchitis was too mob
for her delicate frame and ebe pass-
ed to the great Beyond at Soon on Tues-
day of last week, carting a gloom over a
