MAIM/En AT BLYTH.—A pretty but quiet wedding took place on Satorday after- noon, Dec. 15th, at the home of Mrs. Mc- Elroy, Dineley street, when her eldest daughter, Mies Chrietena M., was united in marriage to W. McKenzie, of Chicago. The bride looking charming in a drew; of white Organdie and valenoieonee lace, with veil and orange blossoms, carrying a handeome baguet of white oarnatione, entered the room leaning on the' arm of her eldest brother, to the strains of the "Bridal ohorns from Lohengrio," and took hor plane beside the groom, (atten- dants beiug dispensed with). At 4.30 the ceremony was performed in a solemn and impressive manner by Rev. A. MoLean, pastor of the Presbyterian church, Blyth. After receiving congratulations from those present all adjourned to the dining room and partook of a sumptuous repaet, at the close of which the offioiatiog clergyman made a few appropriate re- marks expressive of his regret at losing the fair bride from the church, ae she was one of their most active and earnest workers both in Sabbath school and En- deavor work, of which society ehe was President, and commended her to the (thumb with which abe would be con- nected in the future. After a short time spent in conversation and mneio, the young couple took the Northern bound train, on a short visit to friends in Wingham, Lacknow and other places and on their return will spend a few days in Blyth before leaving for their home in Chicago, where the groom (who is not al. together a stranger in Huron Ooaoty, having been born near Luckoow,) Is e0• gaged,in the grocery business.
