On Wed- nesday the weather was all that could be desired, and the track being in perfect condition the three trots advertised for the first day were put through by 6.45 p. m. The starter and judges were all men from outside, and as they knew their business every event on the card was satiefaotorily conducted. The firet and second races drew epeedy horses, bat the beats as a whole were not over exciting ae six beats oat of seven in these races were of the processional kind. The third, the 2.15, however, was excellent, eaob beat being stoutly oonteeted, and through nearly the whole of them the five horses were in bunch. Betting did not seem to be a strong feature, and though there were a few on each heat the honk could not have added mach to its reserve fund. So far as the management of the mast was concerned nothing could have been better, and perfect order prevailed from start to finish.
