TROUT.—Quite a number of the local anglers betook themselves to the various trout and base streams in this neighbor- hood early Tuesday morning. There is a conflict between the Dominion and Provincial laws regarding the first day of the trout season, the former saying the season opens an May 1, and the letter that the close Beason ende on May 1, "in. illusive." However, most anglers choose to accept the Dominion's ruling in the matter.
