Miss Laing is possessed of a mezzo-eopraoo voice of exquisite purity and eweetnees, her upper register being particularly good. A girlish figure, she looked very neat in her High- land costume. Her denoing was equally applauded as bar vocal efforts. This was Mr. Spence's first visit to Brussels but bis fine tenor voice was heard to great advantage daring the evening and both be and Miss Laing will be well received should they come here again.
