FLAX MILL SOLD,—In accordance with advertisements, tenders for the Bale of Atwood fax mill were opened on Saber - day, Feb. 24th, by the Directors, when T. G. Ballantyne'° tender was aoaepted; coupled with the 000dition that the mill had to be put in firat•olase oonditiou by Company when the transfer wee made to Mr. Ballantyne. The only other tender was that of the present leasee, W. F. Forrest, who offered $2,500 for the prop• erty, iooluding the present seed on hand. Mr. Ballantyne also offered to rent the mill for 4450. George Lochbead also put in a tender to run the mill on shares. Mr. Ballaotyne'e tender of $3,600 was considered very fair and reasonable, and it will let the 280 ohereboldere out at the rate of about $10 per [hare.
