The county's debenture liabilities are
575,000. The available assets to meet the
same are :—Mortgages, $16,406 ; credit
balance tanking fond account, 54,096.79—

The committee appointed to report in
regard to the insurance of the County
buildings reported that the insurance was
8.0 follows : Court house, $12,000 ; jai
and cottage, $10,000 ; House of Refuge,
$8,000 ; contents of House of Refuge,
52,000 ; barn on Industrial farm, 5650 ;
contents of same, 5800. The policies are
held in the London, Liverpool and Globe,
Mercantile and Gore companies. The
report was sent to the County Property
committee.
A letter from Lt. -Col. Varcoe asking a
grant of twenty Ave cents a day for eaoh
man at the next annual training in camp
of the SBrd Battalion was read and Lt..
Col. Vibrate wag heard in support of the
request. The matter was referred to the
Executive committee.
The Council proceeded to elect two
auditors from the following nominees ;—
Messrs. Robson, Holman, Cochrane, Car.
rick, Hess, Spence,' Morrison and Ball.
Robson received two votes, Holman six,
Cochrane eight, Carrick three, Hess five,
Spence four, Ball two, The Warden
declared Mr. Cochrane eleoted, and on the
vote for the second man, Robson reoeived
three votes, Holman three, Carrick two
and Hese seven. As no one had a major-
ity of the votes oast, another vote was
taken, Holman receiving six votes, Car-
rick one sad Hess eight. Mr, Hess Ives
declared elected.
A motion that the usual grant of $25 be
made to the Teachers' Institutes in the
County was sent to the Executive tom
mittee.
A motion that the Council release from
the mortgage given by loo. R. Holmes as
se00rity for the County Treasurer a piece
of vacant land in the town of Seaforth,
containing three &ores, was Bent to the

The Warden, Clerk and Mr. Holt were
