Devic Dnor DBAD.—Tbareday evening
of last week David Dron, a resident of
Grey for the peat 41 years, passed away.
He had been failing for some time owing
to inareaeing years] and a heart weakness.
Mr. Dron was able to be about the most
of the time and ventured out of the hoose
Thursday evening and took a weak spell
and was dead when hie dieter reached

discussion maned as to the most suitable
way of reining funds to par0hese the
right of way and the most satisfactory
proposal was that tine total °oat be esti-
mated and an equal distribution be made
between the muuioipelitiee interested.
Mayor Hamilton addressed the delega-
tion in a lengthy review of the eitaatlon.
"The promoters of the eaheme need not
expect any bonne from- the Otty of
Guelph," said Hie Worship. "The city
expended nearly 850,000 on the Guelph
Janotion Railway Irma the Priory to
001110'0 mill, and in return the 0. P. R.
promised to build the extension to Gode-
rioh. This line bas not yet been built and
the oity has Buffered considerable lone
for whioh they should receive due consid-
eration. The extension, however, should
be built and a scheme lanuohed to an -
quire the needed funds. Io the event of
en insufficient amount being eobeoribed
the oity will then entertain the propels,'
of making an appropriation."

by-laws passed to provide sufficient funds
to procure the right of way by the North.

Bbaughnesey and obtain his assurance,
if poeeible, that if anon right of way be
obtained the road will be built by that
route. Delegation will probably go next
week to Montreal. A vote of thanks was
paned to the Mayor of Guelph for the
boepitality extended to the delegation.
