11 is a curious fact, said a fault
solicitor` of forty years' etandin
that women enjoy few things more
than Making a will -X don't mean all
women, of course, but the sex taking

when the average woman's fancy
lightly turns to will -malting, she
not only enjoys it, but Is as likely as
not to make a hobby of it.
Some of them draw their own

Another lady who had tried her

ruthlessly shattered her delusion!
AlYOthe' lady client of mine -dead

Dandruff arises from an unhealthy

CURE FOR DIPHTHERIA,
Sulphur is one of the most eflca-
ous and simple cures for diphtheria.
11 that is needed is flower of stil-
ler and a quill, and with these, it
said, one celebrated physician
red every patient without oxcep-

sulphur into a wineglass of water,
xi stirred it with his finger instead
a spoon, the sulphur not readily
malgamating With water. When
o sulphur Was well mixed, the phy-
eial gave it as a gargle, and in
11 minut05 the pe tient was out of
ager. Sulphur kills every species
fungus in a lean, heasi, or plant

HAY FEVER REMEDIES.
Recent German Discoveries Are
Proving Successful.
German sufferers from hay fever
have tried to help their fellows and
themselves by bantling together in
order to promote investigation into
the causes of their troubles and to
discover cures, if possible. As the hay
fever season is just approaching,
some acc011nt of the results of their
enquiries may bo welcome to Eng-
lish sufferers.
Experiments and experience have
fairly established the fact that )fay
fever is 'clue to the "orlon of grass,
rye, etc., often intensified by dust
and by sunshine.
Tho dangerous period is from the
middle of May to the end of July,
varying according to locality; the
actually clangorous time for any given
place lasts some five or six weeks.
Except hi unusually severe cases,
alleviation may be 011tainecl by in-
haling the fumes of stramonimu,
with which a little saltpetre has been
mixed, and sometimes my smoking
cigarettes made of Indfan 11001p, The
most 51ientifnc remedies yet known

with real success in 50 per cent, of
cases treated, and with less success
