Euron County Council.
The December session of the Go,
Council opened on :rneeday afternoon of
loot week at 8 o'olook, in the coact
House;. Goderioh, Warden Bowman io
the chair. All the members were in

Eegairy was made by Mr. Miller ae
to grant of $600 to Huron Volunteers,
Gorrie Co., oomposed of 16 men not
receiving their share. The answer wan
that Gerrie Co. belonged to Perth Go.
regiment now and as Perth Co. Ooanoil
made a grant Gorrie should share there.
The $600 was ased•up in paying 22o per
day to Heron Regiment. Moved by Mr.
Miller, seconded by Mr. Fergnaon that
ea Perth Go. grant went to pay old debt
that 22o a mac be paid by this Council
to Gorrie Go. as they as ratepayers have
to contribute their share in taxes. Sent
to Executive.
Hoare of Refuge Building Oommittee
reported that addition was op, the elate
roof about finished, partitions and lath-
ing done and plastering will follow.
Electric light will be pot in the addition.
Plumbing is completed, Committee
met 4 times and Arobiteot McBride, ot
London, attended 3 meeting° of Dom

of the Whole, with Mr. Pattereon is the

Tuesday evening Council met in special
passion and paeeed By law No. 6 to raise
by ieeae of debentures, to run 20 yeare at
4 %, the sum of $20,000, to be used in
paying oust of addition to House of
Refuge and the building of bridges. Die-
oaeeion ensued on Zetland bridge for an
hour. A letter was received from Staph•
en township asking for a bridge to be
built in oonjnootion with Middleeex and
Lambton eouutiee. Sent to Road and
Bridge Committee. Jno. Aneley'e
report as Go, Commissioner, was read
and Bent to same Committee. Meagre.
Speakman and Hicks in motion urged
for immeiiate aotioa on bridge in 8tepht
en referred to. Rev, Mr. Hazen and
Mr. Yatee addressed the Connell relative
to the nee of the Goan room for religiose
services while North street new Metho-
dist ohuroh was being built. Request
sent to Go. Property Committee. Geo,
Laithwaite addressed theClou:oil relative
to a grant of $100 to the Go, Rifle Assoc-
iation, money to be devoted to prizse for
title matches. Exeoative was seised to
report on the request. Schedules from
Relocation Department ebowing grants

Committee. Pintoes Committee's re-
port was paeeed with Mr. Gann in the
ohair. On motion of Messrs. Oonnolly
and Speakman a request WEB sent to
Estimative Committee for a refund of

time. The amoaut of orders issued for
repairs and new work totals 820,258 83
for the past 6 months. I have examined
several old bridges and reoommeod
following contract, work to be dune early
next season as the old bridges are nosafe
for heavy Wade, timbers being very much
decayed :—tat, one South of Ambers 8y,
over 18 mile river, on Lake shore road is
Ashfield. It is 95 ft. lotus and 16 ft. road-
way ;
oad•way; 2nd, bridge on boundary between
Aehfi,'Id and Wawanosh, over,the 9 mile
river, to be 60 feet long and 16
feet wide ; 3rd, Morriebank bridge
over Maitland river, on deviation road
of Morrie and Tarnberry townahipa, It
should be 110 Leet long and 16 feet wide ;
41b, Two bridges will have to be erected
on Boundary line between Tnokeremlth
and Hibbert townships, one to be over
Bayfield river and the other over Mer-
riam) Creek, the former will have to be
60 feet long. Those bridges are to be
erected in ooujunotion with the Go, of
Pe th. The usual amount of lumber
should be provided for repairs to hridgee
for nexteeaeoo.

DR. suite's REPORT.
The year 1904 being an extremely Gold
one from the beginning to the end was
particularly hard on the aged with the
result that death rate is higher than
ever before viz 17. With new facilities
we will be able to give more comfort to
the inmatee. I made 86 visite during
the year and treated 847 oaeee. The
