Hood bort his life. Mr. Hood Was drawing out timber, and was alone in the bush. Ieaac Morrison went to the bush for a load of wood, and was surprised at finding Hood's horse lying, to all appear. armee dead, and ou inveatigating, found Mr. Hood buried beneath it. The snow was very deep, and it appeared as though the timber had got bound, and the horee, in palling, had thrown bimeelf over on Hood, and owing 1l+ the deep snow, was unable to•reeover its feet, and emothe,ed the victim. Morrison unhitched the horse and got Hood out to hie sleigh, but life wits amnia. Mr. Hood was about 90 yettre-of age, and had resided in Luoknow nearly all his life. 18.1 w00(1. Rev. Since the Free Hospital was opened (18 months ago) 224 patients have been received. The help the institution has been to these people—all from the wage-earning and poorer ranks of life —cannot ile estimated in human language, —Edward D. I believe I have been greatly helped, and shall never hesitate to use my influence to further that good cause," There is no endowment, excepting the provision made by three lire insurance companies for six beds for .the current year.
