G. T. - R. STATION BUIt7ED.— The
Grand Trunk station, • constructed
threeyearsago and regarded as one
of the handsomest on the line, was
completely destroyed by fire, which
commenced at 2 o'clock Friday morn-
ing. The fire was discovered after it
had seemed a sweeping start, and it
was impossible to save a stick of it.
The fire brigade dict great work in
saving a number of freight cars. how-
ever. A car of potatoes standing on
the track nearby was partially con-
sumed, and several trucks on the
platform were destroyed. A traveller
for a gun firm lost samples valued at
$400. It is said that his stock of rifles
and shotguns were completely de-
stroyed. There were rumors that the
safe in the office had been blown. but
this was denied. How the fire start-
ed is ti mystery. There was no fire in
the station at the time, and every-
thing indicates that the fire was of
incendiary origin. No trains were
through after the regular Bruce train
due in Exeter at. 564. Passengers
were compelled to put their baggage
on the train unchecked Friday morn-

The Orangeville Post says :—The
regular monthly meeting of the High
School Board was held on Friday
evening last in the auditorium. Miss
Grace M. Strang, B. A, the teacher in
modern languages was granted an in-

the lit of September. The board
made the increase without any appli-

appreciation of her service.
William Lee, one ofethe oldest citi-
zens of Goderich, died Friday morn-
ing, aged '70 years. Mr. Lee was
known by all lake captains and vessel
men on the upper laked having been
in the coal and watfinger business for
nearly half a century. He was an
uncompromising Conservative in
politics and always took an active
part in public affairs, baying been
councillor for a number of years. He'
was a member of the Auglican church
and is survived by his widow and one
son, Ohas. Lee, who is in the hard-

KITCHEN CABINETS O.—At least a
score of Oolborne Township farmers
now have kitchen cabinets who never
had kitchen cabinets before. Each

,_., ,l P.n

Other brand
rURITY FLOUR is unlike any other brand of flour.
No two milling companies follow exactly the same
process of milling. In fact, no two different brands
of flour in the world are exactly alike in quality.
And here is another fact worth knowing: Every wheat berry
contains both high-grade and low-grade por-
tions.
The process of milling PURITY flour costs
more than to mill ordinary flour. The low-
grade portions are separated and excluded.
PURITY is an ALL HIGH-GRADE, hard
wheat Hour. It has greater strength, greater
absorption and greater expansion. It is a
thirstier, more elastic flour. It drinks more
water and expands into more loaves.
• Use PURITY FLOUR for your next batch
of bread. Count the loaves. You'll find
you have made "MORE BREAD AND
BETTER BREAD" from PURITY than
when you've used an equal weight of weaker
and cheaper flour.
ITY
FLOUR
"More bread and better bread"
IMAGINE, if you can, how much whiter, and more tooth-
some, and more nutritious, the bread made from such a
HIGH-GRADE flour must be.
And can you imagine yourself enjoying the
flaky pie -crust and the light, delicate cake ?
—your reward for using PURITY flour
When making pastry, please remember to
add more shortening than required with
ordinary flour—for on account of its extra
strength, PURITY FLOUR requires more
shortening for best pastry -results
Yes, PURITY FLOUR costs slightly more
than ordinary flour. But use it once and
you'll say it's worth more—much more—
than the difference.
Add PURITY FLOUR to ,your grocery list
right now.
