EN'1•IIUSIASTIC ON RETRRN
In common with all who visit the West
after an ifiterval of years, the members
of the Manufacturers' Association who
passed through Winnipeg on their way
East, lest week, were highlyenthusiastie
on conditions throughout the country,
Presidenbleect Rowley said, among
other pleasant things : "Best of all, we
found the entire West more prosperous
than ever, with the outlook for increas-
ing business better than it has ever been
before, and, of course, that is what satis-
fied most of us,"
SAW BIG POWER PLANT
A big party of the visiting manufac-
trivets went to Point de Bois, on the city's
invitation, to inspect the municipal
power plant that is getting well along
toward completion there. They saw
what will make Winnipeg, even more
than it is to -day, the chief industrial
centre of Western Canada, and it was

from the new plant which will be used.
After looking into this important puiui.
Captain H- 1. Hawkshaw—regarded as
an expert in .this line of work, and who
is in charge of the construction of the
Winnipeg system—said the distribution
system which will be used here will un•
doubtedly be the best in the world.
This system was designed by Professor
Herdt, consulting engineer for the city.
WORKMAN'S AID POPULAR
The workman's aid scheme, receutly
put in operation here, is proving very
popular. Under the provisions of this
plan, British workmen whose families
are in the Old Country may secure mon-
ey to bring the other members of their
families to this city, and thus have the
benefit and economy of united family,
long before these could be secured in
the ordinary course of events. The
scheme was financed by a number of
public-spirited men of Winnipeg and
its workings are in charge of the Win-
nipeg Development and Industrial Bu-

Dandruff is caused by germs, a fact
accepted by all physicians.
Dandruff is the root of all hair
evils If it were not for the little
destructive germs working with a.

many cases of female ills, such as in-
flammation, ulceration, displacements,
fibroid tumors, irregularities, periodic
pains, backache, that bearing -down
feeling, indigestion, dizziness, and ner-
