He hada stroke of oral cis 7 years ago h y from which ale• ad never recovered but was able to be about as usual up to pp. m.. Monday. Deceased was born' at Bedrule, ROxboro'shire, Scotland, • • on January 9th, 1834, and came •to Canada in the Spring of 1849, locating near Galt. In November of 1852 , he came to this township and took up 150 acres of land upon whieh be lived continuously and prospered. Deceas- was married to Miss Jane Thomp- son, 7th line, Morris, in October of 1859, and she and 10 children survive.. The members of the family are :- Vrm., of Moni'is ; Robt, and Mrs. irk neLizzie Soo. n colt 11, of Grey ; Mrs. Jas. Kearney, Mrs. Juo. Mr. Miller was rablet5114f, thrifty; upright and honorable and from the pioneer days to his decease he enjoyed the respect of all who knew him.
