They Help Your Stomach Out
And Save Yon a World of
Wretchedness
A stomach that cannot digest a good
meal is certainly a sore trial, It has
been responsible for almost everything
in the way of human misery, up to
suicide.
The trouble in most cases is that the
stomach and other digestive organs
lack vigor. Not enough of the juices
necessary to digestion are secreted, nor
does the stomach work up the food
properly.
The worst of it is that there is not
sufficient nourishment taken out of the
food to restore the system's vigor, and
the trouble goes from bad to worse.
The stomach needs help.
"Little Digesters" meet the need
exactly. One "Little Digester" after
each meal will ensure perfect digestion,
provided, of course, that the food is
good and wholesome.
"Little Digesters" are guaranteed
to cure Indigestion, and Dyspepsia, or
your money will be refunded.

Wednesday afternoon of last week
was the dentists weekly half holiday,

his return to town an unfortunate

TOWN FIRE ENGINE. -The town fire
engine is being repaired. For years
the condition of the engine has been a
frequent topic of debate at council
meetings and the opinion, of various
engine -makers have been taken as to
the extent. of the repairs which would
be necessary to put the machine in
good shape, and it looked like an
expenditure cif anywhere up to $1,200.
Along with other repairs, a new
boiler was said to be needed. An ex-
pert mechanic sometimes turns utp in
,unexpected places, however, and a
few clays ago the fire committee had
the engine taken up to Castle Griffin
to give one of the inmates an oppoi-
tuu1ly to make good his statement
that the engine could be repaired at
small cost. A patch was put on near
the bottom of the boiler and a wide
water pressure of 305 lbs. Was success-
fully applied last week without re-
vealing any signs . of weakness or
leakage. A' test such as this, it is
said, is one that a great many boilers
in active use vvould not stand Wm.
Carradice is the name of the mechanic
who is working on the engine, and
since he changed his plae of lodging Brussels
he has been working at the fire hall 4.
