COUNTY ROADS AND BRIDGES CoMMI'r- TEE,-The Road and Bridge Committee of the County Council met at Exeter on Monday of last week and drove out to the Staulake bridge between Hay and Stephen. The road at this place is raised for soma 25 rods, and is slightly damaged, or cut in two or three places by the freshets. The following is the cominittee's report : "There are two bridges here, about to rods apart ; one of iron of one span, 8o feet, erected in 1905 ; the other of wood. 4c feet. The wooden one is not considered safe for traffic much longer, and the find this part of the road must be repaired this season. The committee consider that the iron bridge is sufficient for the pas- sage of the water, if the water course both above and below the bridge be im- proved; that the opening spanned by the wooden bridge be filled up, except that a large tile shall be put in. That the engineer advertise the work 8550013 as possible." Tenders were received Promotion Exams. BRUSSELS CONTINUATION CLASSES. All name errauged 11 order 0£ merit, Honors, 75%, PASS. bo%.
