MUNICIPAL P0wea PROCEEDS
Winnipeg will proceed with the
'muni
cipal Hydro•Eleetrrc power plant.
After hearing the Winnipeg Electric
Railway company's final offers as pre-
sented by D. D Mann last week, the
civic power committee passed a
resolution, moved by Mator Evans, that
the contracts already let by the council
for over $t' 000,000 worth of work on
themunicrpa) power scheme be signed
by the mayor end the proper official:,
and that the city IR net prepared to ac,
ceps the power contract offer made by
the company
Now that the negOtiatiens are ended
and the contracts for the mu4icip83
power plant signed, the work will be
pushed to as speedy a completion as
possible. and when the power is de-
veloped, the Mimeos will receive the
benefit in cheap power, lighting and
heating, as the surplus can doubtless '1e
used tor the latter purpose. This
decision by the council seems to have
the general al proval of the citizens of
Winnipeg and the contractors for the
work are now busy arranging (he neces-
sary preliminaries fur the beginning of
the work at ranee.

and Summer business.
The retail trade of 1110 Canadian West

much more largely n cash trade than
ever before. Trade conditions as a

than they have been for years and it is

the Heart or kidneys. It was Dr.
Shoop that first pointed to this vital
truth. Dr. Shoop's Restorative was
not made to dose the stomach nor to
temporarily stimulate the heart or
kidneys. That old fashioned method
is all wrong.. Dr. Shoop's Restorative
goes to these failing inside nerves.
The remarkable success of this pre-
scription demonstrates the wisdom of
treating the actual cause of these fail -
ng organs. And itis indeed easy to
prove. A simple five or ten days test
will surely tell. Try it once and see,
